Butler softball have been working hard for this season. The Bears condition and practice every day to prepare themselves for upcoming competition. The Bears have been working as a team to better themselves and learn from their mistakes. The Bears are ranked number six in the state.

I interviewed Emily Williams, a sophomore (age 15). She is currently on the Butler softball team. Emily is a catcher and her number is 25 on the field. Emily is very competitive because she said, “I was raised in a competitive family.” Her plans after High School is to become a nurse and wants to play softball in college.

Butler faced Woodford County on Saturday with a victory of 10-3. The Bears now face Assumption on Wednesday, March 11th at 4:30 for another scrimmage before starting their regular season.  Butler’s first game is on March 17th against Spencer County. Butler has eight seniors this year: Meagan Wilson, Tori Hartledge, Annabelle Walker, Kailey Curtis, Amya Mills, Abby Templeman, Erin Templeman, and Katie Templeman. The Bears are setting big goals for this year!
