This is Tyler Glass, a senior here at Butler. He is the starting varsity goalkeeper for the soccer team that has won regionals title for 3 years straight and he’s been playing since freshmen year. Tyler is also the kicker for the football team and he’s got a 3.0 GPA. Tyler is sweet, funny, charming guy that is always smiling and spreading positivity and joy around the school building.
He’s been playing soccer since he was 5 years old and he started his soccer career in a rec league where he was a goal scorer! He then began playing goalie once he got to middle school and played all three years at Farnsley and won the championship in 6th grade. He started playing Butler soccer freshman year and made varsity. However, he was not the starting keeper because Javier Huitron- who was an upper class men filled that starting role for Coach Mario Carrillo, the head coach and freshmen history teacher here at Butler. He has had two concussions and a broken ankle and still hasn’t gave up on his dream he got involved in football just because he has been a fan of the game since a kid and was encourage to join the football team by some of his friends on the football team
His future plans are to graduate from Butler and then go on to college and play soccer and study criminal justice. Tyler wants to continue to spread positivity and joy around Butler, his teammates, his community and to anyone else he can.
