Butler Junior Prom

Butler’s junior prom, Friday April 26th, 2019, was an eventful evening full of many great things. There were a lot of amazing dresses and many different blazers/suits  with crazy stylish shoes. Here are a few junior students and their opinions on prom. I asked Justin Mitchell how the night was for him.  He said [it was] “better than I thought it was going to be. I enjoyed myself a lot and everybody seemed to have fun. The atmosphere was just so positive and it was a great experience.”Picture

This was the first time Butler Traditional High School used the beautiful venue Louisville cardinal stadium. Our juniors really showed how respectful and mature they  are. I asked the prom king Samuel Porter how it felt to be crowned and to get that title. He said “It was a surprise honestly. It felt good, like the stuff in the movies you never think would happen to yourself. “

There was also a very young dj named Dj Richie. BTHS has never used him at any events prior to this night; however, Dj Richie helped make it a very special prom. All the people that went were talking about how good the music he selected was and how he kept the party going. Hopefully, he can continue to dj plenty of more butler events.
