Butler College Night (By: Abby Templeman)

Butler College Night (By: Abby Templeman)

What will you do after graduation? Last night, Thursday 09/19,  from 6:30-8:00 in the large gym and small gym was our annual College and Career Fair. There were over 50 booths for students and families to visit. Each had representatives present to answer questions and give information about their school. There was a wide variety of colleges, technical/ trade schools, and military representatives for all to talk about next step options. Each representative was very eager to help and to share. The College and Career fair was definitely a great way for students to obtain more information about their future choices they’re interested in.

Kayla Hernandez, a student at Butler, said her favorite place she checked out was UPS. She liked them because they were very nice and answered all her questions. She is going to work there when she graduates. Kayla said, ”I get double college tuition and I’ll only work 4-6 hours a day. If you work more than 5 hours they will pay you overtime. You can get bonuses every week if you’re at work every day.” If you’re interested in working in college, UPS is a great program to check out!
Special thank you to Mrs. McDevitt for a great experience and putting the event together.
