Volleyball Season Wrap-up (By: Erin Templeman)

The bears volleyball team honored 5 seniors last night as they took the court against the Ballard Bruins. The Bears fought hard in five full sets but unfortunately fell short losing 3-2. The team was lead by seniors: Alyssa Anglin, Annabela Cordoba, Kaylee Lowe, Taylor Owens, and Alexis Evans.

Former coach Snyder was in the audience last night and I had the chance to ask her the following questions: How has the seniors on the team showed leadership? She answered “No matter if the team was up or down she saw encouragement between each other.” She also said they set good examples not only on the court but in the classroom too. Another question I had the chance to ask was How has your relationship with the five seniors come together though past years? Snyder said she’s gotten to know them better as people and getting closer to their families; she also said she built a relationship with them and will always be there for them throughout life, even after high school. Her last words she would give to them would be she’s very proud of all of them to keep working hard and you will always have her as a shoulder to lean on.

The Bears will be back in action on Monday for the first round of districts. They finished out their season 6-11 and are expected to play Western at 7 at Butler Traditional. Show up and show out to help the Bears bring home the hardware!
