Every Friday night, Darius Jones puts his heart and effort on the field. Darius is a senior at Butler, and has played football since 8th grade. He fell in love with the game as soon as he started. Not only is football important to him, he enjoys the relationships he makes while playing. He calls his team family, and they have been his family since freshman year.
As the season is coming to an end, Darius’s main goal is to win a state championship. A personal goal is to make all state honors. With hard work and dedication, Darius can easily attain these goals.
On the field, you will see him playing corner. The corner’s role is to restrict the opposing team from catching the ball no matter what. After he graduates Butler, Darius will be attending the United States Air Force Academy to continue his football career. Make sure you come and support Darius this Friday, against Manual, on his senior night!
